Full tank 8/12/2010
I swung by a store yesterday afternoon and left with some aqua cultured frags. Picked up some green birds nest, a chunk of awesome purple with green/orange polyps superman montipora, and some nice plating orange montipora. I plan on attaching plating monti frags to the back wall to see if I can get a nice shelf effect.
31 days in, and I’ve moved the critters back into the Solana. Things went pretty well. I double dipped everything except the fish in water dosed with flatworm control, and fragged away every bit of rock I could in an attempt to rid myself of the flatworm plague and macro algae infestation. I hope it goes well.
Acclimating
Water is clearing up nicely. I hung the new light fixture yesterday. Testing it out today…
New Rock
Dropped by Triangle Tropical Fish today to check out their stock of rock. They had some nice Fiji rock for only $4.99/lb so I snapped up about 20.5 lbs.
I dug the old Aquapod out of storage to use as a holding tank for the critters while I restart the Solana. It still looks pretty good! The Reef Keeper 2 still works, although the back light is very dim these days.
