Day five is looking good. Water has cleared. Ammonia levels are about zero. Registering low levels of nitrites and nitrates. pH is a bit low… hanging around 7.7, but rising a little each day.
Starting to spot some hitchhikers. At least one stomatella snail, some zoanthids, a nice feather duster or two, tons of good sized clams on the back of one rock. The best one so far is a small chiton. Looks exactly like the chiton in the aquapod, just much smaller. I did spot some aiptasia… three years ago I’d be freaking out. Today it’s just fun. Soon my pretty little peppermint shrimp will feast upon their squishy innards! Muahah!
