Looks like the slug layed even more eggs the other night…

Slug Eggs

You can see the original clutch on the right is gone, but a ring of bleached coral is still there. No idea if the eggs were eaten or they hatched. Either way, I think the fish got a tasty treat. Theres a new ring of eggs on the left.

Day 347: Slug Eggs?

I was poking around with a flashlight in the nighttime aquarium this evening and noticed an odd circular pattern on the underside of my M. capricornus. Upon closer inspection, this appears to be a large number of eggs!

E. clarki eggs?

At first, I thought these may be some margarita snail eggs, but after some googling, I think they may have been layed by my lettuce slug, the wiley E. clarki. (See images here and here)

Day 340: Backup Crew

Mr. Pilkington and I pooled our allowance and ordered some cleanup crew packs from Foster’s and Smith. I’ve never mail ordered livestock before, and it was a good experience. It shipped on time, arrived on time, and nothing died even though it had been shipped from California to North Carolina. We pretty much got what we ordered too, along with a few extras of each item.
